The product line includes thirty product categories that are sold through a wide variety of distribution channels. The primary sales channels include major industrial distribution, automotive aftermarket, automotive mobile jobbers, Amazon, and others.
Job Summary
As the US Sales and Marketing Manager, you would be responsible for the successful execution of the corporate sales and marketing plan. You will direct the activities of the National Sales Manager who is the first point of contact with Distributors, Manufacturer’s Representatives, and the Professional End customer. And you will oversee the activities of the company Ecommerce and Marketing Department personnel.
Essential Duties
- Direct the activities of the National Sales Manager and the use of manufacturer’s representatives as needed.
- Manage customer relationships and strive to make the customer experience productive and positive, while preserving the interests and reputation of our business.
- Develop solid business relationships with key personnel at both national and independent distributors.
- Develop a solid business strategy with Distributors, Representatives, and large end customers to ensure proper geographical coverage.
- Recruit, train, and develop a successful network of Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives and report on the performance of their assigned territory.
- Direct the activities and marketing emphasis of the Ecommerce representative.
- Direct the activities and output of the Marketing Department personnel.
- Consistently analyze the performance of our key customers to retain and grow our business.
- Develop product presentations customized to each customer segment and implement creative sell-through strategies.
- Utilize our contact management database to maintain contacts, notes, activities with customers, and representatives.
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotations utilizing our internal process.
- Provide information on competitor activity and give feedback on potential threats/opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence and feedback from customers for new product development.
- Represent the core values and the positive attitude of the company at all times.
Qualifications, Requirements, Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A clear understanding of the US industrial and/or automotive aftermarket tools and equipment distribution industry.
- Successful selling experience in the established channels of distribution.
- 5-7 years of relevant (Independent Representative Management, Automotive aftermarket products, Construction, or Industrial channels) sales experience.
- Possess the experience with a full understanding of the wholesale distribution operational scenario.
- Is current in their knowledge and experience managing Ecommerce distribution customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a college or university.
- Have experience and understanding of an active selling organization and the intricacies therein.
- Excellent verbal, written, and people skills.
- Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft Office programs.
- Aptitude for working with full sense and respect for timing.
- Maintain confidential information and manage confidential matters.
- Demonstrate the capability to support the company’s development plans.
